O Mistress Mine, known and read by many as one of William Shakespeare's most famous "love poems" was actually sung by Feste in Twelfth Night. It is one of a set of five "Shakespeare Songs" which Arthur Sullivan composed as "contemporary" music during 1863 and 1864. Since then it has been sung and recorded in many different compositions and arrangements by dozens of artists, including Joe Hillyer, whose downloadable audio track presented here offers a traditional Elizabethan madrigal version.
